Soccer Recap: Nova Takes a Loss

After flying high against McArthur last Thursday, Nova came back down to earth. The Nova Titans fell just short of the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Titans have struggled against the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Nova's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10-1. As for Pompano Beach, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-9-1 record.

Nova and Pompano Beach could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Nova (ranked 401st) will meet NSU University (ranked 19th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Pompano Beach (ranked 362nd) will meet Fort Lauderdale (ranked 121st) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
