            Soccer Recap: Silsbee vs. Bridge City        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Little Cypress-Mauriceville  last Friday, Silsbee came back down to earth. The Silsbee Tigers fell just short of the Bridge City Cardinals by a score of  2-1 on Tuesday. The  game was a  1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.
Their goal came courtesy  of  Abraham Orta, which was the first he's scored this season.
Silsbee's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Bridge City, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
 Looking ahead, Silsbee will square off against Lumberton at 7:00  p.m.  on February 18th. Lumberton will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  goals each  matchup than the last. As for Bridge City, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  6-0  win against Little Cypress-Mauriceville on the 14th.
