Basketball Recap: High Point Central Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only High Point Central walked away with it. They came out on top against the Franklin Panthers by a score of 67-60 on Tuesday.

Franklin's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of William Rauers, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 16 points and three steals, and Max McClure, who went 6-for-9 en route to 15 points. Thanks to that strong game, McClure now owns an excellent 45.1% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Noah Brannon, who posted nine points.

High Point Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Franklin and nudges their season record down to 21-6.

Coming up, High Point Central will head out to square off against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something High Point Central surely won't give up without a fight. Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
