Basketball Recap: Miller School of Albemarle Skates Past Trinity Christian with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Miller School of Albemarle walked away with it. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 61-23 win over the Trinity Christian Gryphons. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 30 points or more this season.

Leading Miller School of Albemarle to victory were Sofia Gonzalez-Dolcet and Ella Jackson. Gonzalez-Dolcet posted 14 points and six steals, while Jackson shot 45% from the field en route to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Gonzalez-Dolcet has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Wells, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 12 points.

Miller School of Albemarle has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Trinity Christian and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Miller School of Albemarle has already played their next contest, a 72-29 loss against Norfolk Christian on the 26th. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
