It was a good run, but South Gate unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Gabrielino Eagles by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Gabrielino, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

South Gate will challenge Garfield at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gabrielino, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Ramona Convent on the 22nd.
