Volleyball Recap: King William Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

King William and Poquoson squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but King William had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Islanders. The Cavaliers have struggled against the Islanders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-7.

King William's offense was headlined by Addison Kirby and Camryn Patterson, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Johnson and her five assists.

King William's loss dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Poquoson, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

King William does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Poquoson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Amelia County on the 12th.
