Volleyball Recap: Mia Javier and Emmaline Bryant Secure Win for West Cabarrus + How To Watch

The West Cabarrus Wolverines made easy work of the Hopewell Titans on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was West Cabarrus' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-20.

Leading West Cabarrus to victory were Emmaline Bryant and Mia Javier. Bryant had 18 digs and two aces, while Javier had ten digs and two aces. Javier is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Ellie Nicely was another key player, getting 15 assists and five digs.

They weren't the only good server: West Cabarrus was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hopewell only served six aces.

West Cabarrus' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Hopewell, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

West Cabarrus has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Berry on the 26th. As for Hopewell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Hickory Ridge on the 25th.
