Baseball Recap: Sheffield Comes Up Short

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Memphis Business Academy Execs, falling 12-3.

Christion Leach made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and earned one run and three stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Ware, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Sheffield's record now sits at 2-7-2. As for Memphis Business Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6-1 record.

While Sheffield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
