It was a proper cat-fight when Swainsboro challenged Crisp County on Friday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 21-14. The Tigers' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Crisp County's loss came despite strong showings from Zion Mabry and Hagan Slimp. Mabry rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown, while Slimp rushed for 49 yards and one score.

Swainsboro's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Crisp County, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Swainsboro and Crisp County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Tigers see the field they'll take on Toombs County at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Crisp County, their break will end when they face Tattnall County at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
