The Napavine Tigers will face off against the Toutle Lake Ducks at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Napavine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.
Napavine will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run last Thursday, then bounced right back against Morton/White Pass on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 26-1 margin over the Timberwolves. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Timberwolves: they've now won seven in a row.
Dakota Lyons made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Grace Pancake was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Ellie Gilbert was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
Napavine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .635. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Morton/White Pass only posted an OBP of .391.
Meanwhile, Toutle Lake came up short against Mossyrock on Thursday and fell 10-7.
Jordyn Casi made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Karly Opsahl, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Napavine's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Toutle Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Toutle Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Napavine has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Toutle Lake, though, as they've been averaging 11 hits. Given Napavine's sizable advantage in that area, the Ducks will need to find a way to close that gap.
