Recap: Eagle River Wolves vs. West Valley Wolf Pack
This season hasn't been kind to the Eagle River Wolves, who are still winless after their fourth contest. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 56-38 to West Valley. Eagle River lost against West Valley in their previous head to head back in January of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 66-12 score last time.
Eagle River lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brooklyn Rollman, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gabby Palozzini, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Valley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Eagle River will head out on the road to challenge Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Nikiski at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th.
