Basketball Recap: Mack Dolloff Key Part of a Team Effort in Saints Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Berean Academy, Classical was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Central Christian Cougars with a sharp 67-42 win. With that victory, the Saints brought their scoring average up to 51.2 points per game.

Classical got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mack Dolloff out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. What's more, Dolloff also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Tylan Sinclair, who went 5 for 6 en route to 15 points.

Classical was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

The victory snapped Classical's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Central Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Classical has already played their next contest, a 44-38 win against Republic County on the 24th. As for Central Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 0-0 tie against Solomon on the 24th.
