Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Taylor County

Taylor County extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 3-0. They walked away with a 16-11 win over Suwannee. For Taylor County, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory Suwannee walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The team relied heavily on Ryver Arnold, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Rylan Compton, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Taylor County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

As for Suwannee, they now have a losing record of 1-2. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

On Suwannee's side, Brianna Woods and Emalyn Watley stepped up to the plate in a big way. Woods went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI, while Watley went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Addison Petersen was another key player, going 1-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Taylor County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-0 loss against North Florida Christian on the 26th. As for Suwannee, they have also already played their next matchup, a 12-3 defeat against Madison County on the 26th.
