Football Game Preview: Pine Plains/Rhinebeck vs. Ellenville Blue Devils + How To Watch

Pine Plains/Rhinebeck will challenge the Ellenville Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ellenville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Pine Plains/Rhinebeck, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Pine Plains/Rhinebeck didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Catkill/Cairo-Durham, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win.

Meanwhile, Ellenville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Taconic Hills, falling 36-12.

Pine Plains/Rhinebeck will have to keep a close watch on Caige Burns and Xavier Lasanta, a pair of players who had a big impact on Ellenville's prior game. Burns threw for 120 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes, while Lasanta picked up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown. Lasanta showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 61 yards.

Ellenville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Pine Plains/Rhinebeck, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Pine Plains/Rhinebeck ended up a good deal behind Ellenville in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, losing 34-20. Thankfully for Pine Plains/Rhinebeck, Pedro Bonachea (who rushed for 360 yards and five scores while picking up 11.3 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
