Basketball Recap: Joppa-Maple Grove Comes Up Short

Joppa-Maple Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 63-52 to the Cobden Appleknockers. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rangers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-27 two weeks ago.

Joppa-Maple Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Cobden, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Joppa-Maple Grove will face off against Shawnee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cobden, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Steeleville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cobden is facing Steeleville at the right time seeing as Steeleville is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
