Volleyball Game Preview: Katella Knights vs. Westminster Lions

The Katella Knights will challenge the Westminster Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Katella: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Westminster has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Katella came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Anaheim, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since March 18th.

While Katella was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Anaheim's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-18, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Westminster got the win against Buena Park on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Westminster's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-23, 25-14.

Katella's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Westminster, their victory bumped their record up to 19-5.
