Baseball Recap: Bishop Ready Comes Up Short

Bishop Ready was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 8-2 to the Licking Heights Hornets.

Bishop Ready saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Mutnich, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Bishop Ready's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Licking Heights, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Ready will challenge Briggs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.55 runs per game on average), something the Silver Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Licking Heights, they will face off against Bexley at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
