Baseball Recap: Crystal River Takes a Loss

Crystal River's last matchup with Dunnellon could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Monday. The Crystal River Pirates came up short against the Dunnellon Tigers, falling 11-1. If the Pirates were looking for revenge after losing 4-2 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Crystal River saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Kofmehl, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Crystal River has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. Dunnellon's win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Coming up, Crystal River will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Dunnellon at 7:00 p.m. As for Dunnellon, they are taking a road trip to square off against Union County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
