Basketball Recap: North Newton Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

North Newton lost to Rensselaer Central back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The North Newton Spartans narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Rensselaer Central Bombers 45-42. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Newton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Alexander, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points. The dominant performance gave Alexander a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jared Kutsch, who posted eight points and three steals.
