Metea Valley faced Naperville Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Redhawks. That makes it the first time this season Metea Valley have let down their home crowd.

Metea Valley's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-3. As for Naperville Central, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-1-1.

Coincidentally, Metea Valley and Naperville Central will both be playing Naperville North the next time they take the pitch. The Redhawks will head out to face the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
