Preview: Linville Hill vs. Pequea Valley Braves
Linville Hill will head out on the road to face off against the Pequea Valley Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Linville Hill is looking to tack on another W to their 11-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Linville Hill has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 26 points or more this season. They really took it to Coventry Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 87-55 victory at home. With that victory, Linville Hill brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
It was another big night for Stephen Smucker, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds. He set a new season high mark in assists with five. Giovanni Sejuste was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pequea Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 37-31 to Brandywine Heights Area.
Linville Hill's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pequea Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Everything went Linville Hill's way against Pequea Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as Linville Hill made off with a 76-53 victory. Does Linville Hill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pequea Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
