Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, St. Mary's Prep couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Mercy Marlins on Tuesday. The Eaglets' defeat signaled the end of their 26-game winning streak.

Their offense was headlined by Avery Kapeller and Katelynn Dabish, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Lindsey Schwegman and her 14 assists. Zoey Kapeller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mercy can attribute much of their success to Maya Zarow, who had ten digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Zarow a new career-high.

St. Mary's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 34-7-4. As for Mercy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 39-5-2 record this season.

St. Mary's Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mercy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against South Lyon on the 13th.
