Basketball Recap: Monticello Wins Going Away Against Fluvanna County

Monticello hadn't done well against Fluvanna County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Monticello Mustangs were the clear victor by a 58-37 margin over the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-44 back in December of 2024.

Monticello is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Fluvanna County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Western Albemarle the next time they take the court. Monticello will host Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Fluvanna County will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
