Baseball Recap: Calais Gets the Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Calais ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Narraguagus Knights 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since May 6, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kaeson Dana, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Theo Mitchell also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Calais now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Narraguagus, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Calais will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Woodland at 3:00 p.m. As for Narraguagus, they will head out to take on Jonesport-Beals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
