Normandy lost to North Olmsted back in October of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Invaders came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Invaders.

Normandy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.

Their offense was headlined by Ariana Valentin Rivera and Anais Valentin Rivera, who picked up ten kills apiece. They got some help from Taylor Shaw and her 14 assists. Finally, Ariana was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

North Olmsted's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Rees, who had 13 digs and seven assists. Another player making a difference was Nela Bosch, who had 12 digs.

Normandy's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for North Olmsted, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Coming up, Normandy will face off against Berea-Midpark at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Olmsted, they will challenge Keystone at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
