Football Recap: Bennett Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

Bennett had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Weld Central Rebels. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Kenny Jordan threw for 30 yards on two of six attempts.

Leading Weld Central to victory were Luke Witzel and Braden Schellenberg. Witzel rushed for 97 yards and one TD on only six carries, while Schellenberg rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Witzel's longest rush was for an incredible 79 yards.

Coming up, Bennett will face off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Weld Central, they will square off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
