Etowah extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Cherokee County Warriors, falling 38-14. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 42-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

As for Cherokee County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games.

Keyshawn Woods was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 171 yards.

Etowah didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 27-19 loss against Ashville on the 19th. As for Cherokee County, they have also already played their next matchup, a 22-16 victory against White Plains on the 19th.
