Charlotte Latin won the last time they faced Charlotte Country Day School and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 19-4 margin over the Buccaneers. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won nine matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Sydney Thune made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Sydney Grogan was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Caroline Coble was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Charlotte Latin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
