Recap: Live Oak Acorns vs. Monta Vista Matadors
The Live Oak Acorns lost against the Monta Vista Matadors back in November of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Live Oak had to suffer through a rough 76-45 loss at the hands of Monta Vista. While losing is never fun, Live Oak can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1146th, while Monta Vista is ranked 461st).
Several Acorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Deharo, who scored nine points along with five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deharo has scored all season. Lukas Marcheschi was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Live Oak now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Monta Vista, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
