Softball Game Preview: Coastal Christian Conquerors vs. Bishop Diego Cardinals

The Coastal Christian Conquerors will venture away from home to challenge the Bishop Diego Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Diego took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Coastal Christian, who comes in off a win.

Coastal Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Shandon 29-5 on Tuesday. The Conquerors haven't had any issues with the Outlaws recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Bishop Diego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to Santa Clara.

Coastal Christian's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Bishop Diego, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Coastal Christian skirted past Bishop Diego 4-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Conquerors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
