Volleyball Recap: Archie Victorious

After losing to Sherwood the last time they met, Archie decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Whirlwinds walked away with a 2-0 win over the Marksmen on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Whirlwinds.

Abigail Sutton was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Sutton wasn't the only good servers: Archie was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sherwood only served two.

Archie's record now sits at 20-4-1. As for Sherwood, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-8.

Archie wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Northland Christian on the 11th. As for Sherwood, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Butler on the 13th.
