After taking the lead on a touchdown in the second quarter,
North Allegheny (Wexford, Pa.) led 28-6 at the half.
The Tigers expanded their lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. North Allegheny scored two times in the third, including once on a
Mack Leftwich touchdown pass to
Brendan Coniker.
The loss snapped McDowell (Erie, Pa.)'s 5-game winning streak.
Leftwich was the top performer for NA. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored 13 touchdowns on the season.
Khyre Drayer played well for the Trojans. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to 11 on the year.
McDowell's lone touchdown came on a 3-yard run by Drayer in the first quarter.
The Wexford school came into the game allowing 7.4 points per game. MHS's six points were well below its season average of 39.0 per game.
The Tigers also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 49-14.
The loss comes after McDowell defeated State College 42-0 last week.
