Cherokee County waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Helena Huskies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Cherokee County's offense was headlined by Ava Haygood and Nevaeh Gaidurgis, who picked up 14 kills apiece. They got some help from Macy Lea and her 27 assists. Jolie Alexander controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cherokee County's victory bumped their record up to 41-7-1. As for Helena, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 23-17.

Cherokee County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against East Limestone on the 11th. Helena has also already played their next contest (against Brewer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
