Basketball Recap: Campolindo Comes Up Short

Campolindo has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archie Williams Peregrine Falcons. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Peregrine Falcons are ranked 150th).

When it comes to explaining why Campolindo lost on Monday, don't look at Luke Devine. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Devine a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ren Marchetti, who posted 15 points.

Campolindo's record now sits at 9-2. As for Archie Williams, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Campolindo will challenge Lincoln at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Archie Williams, they will welcome Urban at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
