Volleyball Recap: Kaylee Norton Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Woodland

It was a proper cat-fight when Faith Christian faced off against Woodland on Tuesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won four in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Faith Christian was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-3.

Faith Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaylee Norton, who had seven aces and three digs. Norton is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 30 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Daniel, who had nine digs, six kills, five aces, and one block.

They weren't the only good servers: Faith Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Faith Christian's victory bumped their record up to 24-13. As for Woodland, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Faith Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Spring Garden on the 14th. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
