Baseball Recap: Corbin Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

Corbin hadn't done well against Whitley County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Redhounds walked away with a 7-2 win over the Colonels. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 16, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Kade Elam was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Corbin is 10-1 when Elam posts two or more runs, but 15-17 otherwise. Cam Estep was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Corbin's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-18. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Whitley County, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 30-7 record.

As of now, neither Corbin nor the Colonels have any future games scheduled.
