Owen Valley is a perfect 7-0 against Eastern Greene since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Thunderbirds at 5:00 p.m. Owen Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Owen Valley took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against West Vigo, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings on Wednesday, sneaking past 5-3. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastern Greene, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They put the hurt on Pike Central with a sharp 13-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbirds, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Eastern Greene pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Owen Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Owen Valley took their win against Eastern Greene in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 11-5 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
