Softball Recap: Mt. Eden Takes a Loss

If Mt. Eden was riding high fresh off their 15-2 takedown of San Lorenzo last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Mt. Eden fell just short of the Berkeley Yellowjackets by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The matchup marked the Monarchs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Mt. Eden saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailyn Trigos, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Mt. Eden's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Berkeley, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Coming up, Mt. Eden will be playing at home against Piedmont at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Berkeley, they will head out to take on San Lorenzo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Berkeley is facing San Lorenzo at the right time seeing as San Lorenzo is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
