Elkin won the last time they faced Wilkes Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Buckin' Elks blew past the Eagles 3-0. The Buckin' Elks not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 3-0).

The victory didn't come easy: Wilkes Central scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-22, 25-22.

Wilkes Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Laila Nickens, who had eight digs, and Jaylyn Rhoades, who had 12 digs.

The win made it two in a row for Elkin and bumps their season record up to 7-11. As for Wilkes Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.
