Volleyball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar lost against Trinity back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Lamar lost, don't look at Hannah Mcwethy. Despite the final result, she had 11 digs and three aces. Nylah Charles also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Trinity, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Lamar has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against El Paso on the 16th. As for Trinity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Churchill on the 16th.
