Basketball Game Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Hugoton Eagles

Cimarron is 1-9 against Hugoton since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bluejays take on the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cimarron is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since December 12, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Colby 50-19. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Bluejays' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Hugoton came up short against Holcomb on Friday and fell 55-46. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Longhorns recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

This is the second loss in a row for Cimarron and nudges their season record down to 7-11. As for Hugoton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Cimarron and Hugoton were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but Cimarron came up empty-handed after a 42-41 loss. Can Cimarron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
