Lake Stevens typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Kamiak proved too difficult a challenge. They won by a goal and slipped past the Vikings 2-1. The win was all the more spectacular given Kamiak's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while Lake Stevens are ranked 13th).

Kamiak has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. As for Lake Stevens, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kamiak will take on rival Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lake Stevens is set to square off against their familiar foe Glacier Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
