Soccer Game Preview: Mendota vs. Columbia + How To Watch

The Mendota Trojans will face off against the Columbia Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mendota is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Coal City a 3-0 shutout. The win was familiar territory for Mendota, who have now won six matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, Columbia won against Rochester on Monday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Thursday. Everything went the Eagles' way against Chicago Academy as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 23-5-3. As for Mendota, their victory bumped their record up to 25-4.

Mendota came out on top in a nail-biter against Columbia in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
