Baseball Recap: Pomperaug's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It was a proper cat-fight when Pomperaug took on Ridgefield on Thursday. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 9-3. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 30th (when they won 10-4).

Zach Johnson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Pane, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Pomperaug's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14. As for Ridgefield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Pomperaug nor Ridgefield have any future games scheduled.
