Baseball Game Preview: Pickering Red Devils vs. Rosepine Eagles

Pickering is 0-10 against Rosepine since April of 2021 but things could change on Thursday. The Red Devils will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Pickering has given up an average of 18 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Pickering's offense. They came up short against DeQuincy on Tuesday, falling 15-0. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rosepine, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 victory over Anacoco on Tuesday.

Rosepine's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pickering, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Pickering might still be hurting after the 24-1 loss they got from Rosepine in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
