Baseball Game Preview: Issaquah Eagles vs. Eastlake Wolves

Issaquah hasn't had much luck against Eastlake recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Issaquah's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Eastlake's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Issaquah came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Skyline, falling 9-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 3, 2024.

Issaquah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Swanson, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Charlie Lydum, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Eastlake made easy work of Arlington on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 win.

Dominic Miller looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Travis Beam, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

Issaquah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Eastlake, their record is now 9-3.
