Football Recap: Allatoona Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Allatoona lost against River Ridge back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buccaneers took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. While the Buccaneers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Knights 6-0.

Hunter Griffin threw for 144 yards on ten of 16 attempts. Rhys Rooney was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards. On the ground, Carter Tucker rushed for 43 yards.

Camden Cox went supernova For River Ridge., rushing for 201 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those 201 rushing yards gave Cox a new career-high.

Allatoona now has a losing record of 1-2. As for River Ridge, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Allatoona will square off against Holy Innocents Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for River Ridge, they will challenge Woodstock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
