Volleyball Recap: Boca Ciega Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Boca Ciega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Gibbs Gladiators. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gladiators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

While Boca Ciega ultimately came up short, they really made Gibbs work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-15.

Gibbs found their leader in freshman Jade Carter, who had 28 digs and two aces. Carter is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Boca Ciega's loss dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Gibbs, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-9.

As of now, neither Boca Ciega nor the Gladiators have any future games scheduled.
