Recap: West County Bulldogs vs. Central Rebels
The West County Bulldogs managed to keep up with the Central Rebels until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. West County had to suffer through a rough 73-45 loss at the hands of the Rebels. West County has not had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Jobe Bryant continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Central, scoring 38 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bryant has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Casey, who scored 18 points along with three steals.
West County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Central, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West County won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on January 24th. Crystal City is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Central, they will head out on the road to square off against the Black Cats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fredericktown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 366th, while the Rebels are ranked 29th).
