Tolleson came tearing into Thursday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the West Point Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 on Tuesday.

DIEGO SERNA spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on JOSE CORRALES, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. AMARI LUCAS was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Tolleson's record is now 16-9-1. As for West Point, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13-1.

Coming up, Tolleson is taking a road trip to challenge Mesa at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for West Point, they will welcome Skyline at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season.
